Hockey is a passionate sport. Tensions are high, energy is at its peak. Some players are naturally aggressive, which dangerously comes through in play. Most know, however, how to tamper their emotions, and how to stay out of trouble.

Tyler Bertuzzi isn't one of these players. After spending the last two seasons in a self-inflicted controversy regarding the vaccine, he is back in the public eye for a shocking angry outburst on Evander Kane.

After a scrum between teammate Moritz Seider and Kane, Bertuzzi 'came to Seider's defense' and struck Kane with his stick.

This would have already been a slam-dunk penalty, but the kicker is that Bertuzzi struck Kane's face. Beyond that, he hit Kane's face so hard that his stick broke over Kane's chin!

Luckily the referees were able to hold Kane back, as he would have absolutely destroyed Bertuzzi.

This type of behavior is unacceptable, and hopefully a suspension will teach Bertuzzi a lesson. This won't be his first suspension, however, so it's fair to be doubtful.
