During an ECHL game last night, an insane brawl broke out between the Orlando Solar Bears and Greenville Swamp Rabbits, resulting in over 250 minutes of penalties being doled out.

The ECHL is full of players looking to do whatever they can to make a name for themselves in order to get to the next level. When you combine that with the passion and heated moments of impending playoff hockey, that can result in some tempers boiling over.

During Friday night's ECHL matchup between the Orlando Solar Bears and the Greenville Swamp Rabbits, a full-blown line brawl broke out. The video shown below shows just half of what went down, as a second line brawl broke out just moments after the first died down.

"Friday Night Fights! 👊

The game was the highest number of penalty minutes given to a single team in the ECHL this year, which is notable. Obviously, there was some bad blood between the two teams!

"Tonight's Orlando Solar Bears vs. Greenville Swamp Rabbits game featured 268 minutes in penalties. 139 for the Solar Bears, a single-game high for the 2023-24 season." Battaino said.

It seems that fighting is making its way back into the sport, with the NHL seeing its fair share of fights this year and a similar line brawl the other night between the New Jersey Devils and the New York Rangers.
