However, a renowned insider revealed that they already have found their future number one goalie.

In a recent statement during an episode of the podcast Spittin' Chiclets, former NHLer Paul Bissonnette mentionned something he saw on Reddit: the Leafs have the future Andrei Vasilevskiy within their organization in Dennis Hildeby.

Here's what he said in a sarcastic way:


He said that because some fans have a reputation of making very early predictions for young players. At only 22 years old, it's extremely hard to predict he'll win a Vezina and be at Vasilevskiy's level, especially considering the great career the Russian goalie is having so far.

It's true that this is what happened in the recent few years for the Maple Leafs. Taking a look at the situation from an outside perspective, it doesn't look very good for Toronto. However, Biznasty has a point; they're going to make playoffs and things should work themselves out.
