Top Four Defenseman's NHL Career In Jeopardy?
A top defenseman for the Colorado Avalanche could be battling an injury and potentially losing his career.
Manson Struggling With Hip
The Colorado Avalanche could be losing a big piece of their defensive core because Josh Manson is apparently battling a hip injury. On Tuesday, he was skating alone which is never a good sign for a presumably healthy player.
Colorado Hockey Now reporter Evan Rawal cited that he was struggling with his hip
Manson was skating on his own, talking to 4 people who are tracking him with a device, including a trainer. Mentioned something is uncomfortable on his hip, so they seemed to adjust something he's wearing under his pads and he said it felt good. Has since joined rest of group.
Then yesterday, Rawal revealed that Manson was not skating at all.
Josh Manson did not skate today. Everyone else who skated yesterday was on the ice again.
Manson's Injury History
Manson has struggled mightily with injuries over the past few years. Last season alone, he missed 55 games with lower body injuries and some of the playoffs.
Since December 2022, Manson has sustained three injuries that have held him out for a substantial amount of time, two being lower body and one being undisclosed.
While it is early and Manson could be struggling with some lingering issues, considering the history he has, he could be in danger of losing his career with one wrong move.
