Following up on a wild start to Sunday in the NHL, veteran Matt Dumba is now reportedly closing in on a deal with the Arizona Coyotes, who appear to be building quite the impressive young team.
According to Elliotte Friedman, Dumba is likely to sign a one-year deal with Arizona worth $4 million, making him a good veteran presence for this young blue line.
In the best years with the Wild, Dumba was a consistent 25-35 point per season scorer, but with just 2 goals and 12 assists last year, he'll be looking for a big bounce back campaign.
With talents like J.J. Moser, Juuso Valimaki, Troy Stecher and Victor Soderstrom leading the way on the Coyotes blue line, Dumba should be an excellent addition as Arizona look to get back into the playoffs.
