Huberdeau's Looking to Bounce Back.

Things haven't been easy for Jonathan Huberdeau since he was traded out of Florida and joined the Calgary Flames.

After a season that saw one of the largest drops in points over the last decades, he'll be looking to come in strong next year for the first year of his eight-year contract valued at $10.5M AAV.

With Darryl Sutter gone, everything is set for the forward to bounce back next year.

The only thing in his way: the immense pressure on his shoulders.

He made a revelation about how he deals with it.

Huberdeau Opens Up

He mentioned in a recent interview that he's seeking the counsel of a sports psychologist to help him achieve his goals and deal with the pressure.

Here's what he revealed:

«I think, get back to the basics. That's what I wanted to do. I talked to a psychologist and got back to where I'm confident and have the right mindset. I think I got away from that. Just trust yourself and have confidence. That's what I learned a lot this summer.

Obviously, I'd never had that type of season. It was going well the past four years before that year that just happened. Just reset everything and come back to the basics. Small victories in your life that are going to give you that confidence back. This summer, that's what I did.»

This is a healthy way to deal with his issues, and it could truly help him succeed!

We wish him the best for the coming season.

Do you think he'll score more than 80 points next season?
