Wayne Gretzky Names Three Possible Expansion Locations

The most storied player in NHL history, Wayne Gretzky has proposed three possible expansion locations for the league.

Gretzky, who played for the Edmonton Oilers, Los Angeles Kings, St-Louis Blues and New York Rangers throughout his legendary career is one of the most influential people in the sports.

Gretzky proposed Kansas City, Houston and Quebec City as the three locations.

Kansas City and Quebec formerly had NHL teams, which makes them logical options if the league were to expand. Kansas City is an amazing sports city, with teams like the NFL's Chiefs being among the most respected in that league. Quebec City has some of the most passionate fans in the world, and Gretzky himself is a big supporter of Quebec hockey.



Houston is the biggest city in the United States without a professional team. After the expansion to Las Vegas and Seattle, Houston is a very likely location. The success of the Dallas Stars is reason for more hockey to come to Texas.
