Darren Dreger reveals when Leafs will announce Craig Berube as Coach
The Toronto Maple Leafs have some big decisions to make this summer, and while one has likely been made already, we won't hear about it until next week.
While Todd McClellan, Gerard Gallant and others have drawn interest in Toronto over the past week, from the outset it has been Craig Berube as the favourite, and now it appears he may already have the job. However, no official announcement has yet been made, with Insider Darren Dreger predicting exactly when that may occur.
"I'd be surprised if something wasn't announced as early as Tuesday"

After the Carolina Hurricanes were eliminated from the playoffs on Thursday, there's reportedly been some interest in a potential discussion with coach Rod Brind'Amor, although it appears Berube is still locked in as the favourite.
"Nothing is finalized, but multiple sources indicated Friday that the Toronto Maple Leafs and Craig Berube are far down the road on the process of becoming the team's next head coach," Friedman writes.
"Nothing is done until it is done, but it would be a surprise at this point if Berube is not the next Toronto coach."
As Dreger predicts, this could be announced as early as Tuesday, with Berube and the Leafs likely still working on details of the contract, but now, we know that we will have an answer soon which will allow the Maple Leafs to move on with their off-season as they look to build a Stanley Cup Champion.
