John Tavares was not too pleased with his teammates last night after almost getting blown out by the Columbus Blue Jackets.

Leafs Lose To The Blue Jackets In Exciting Fashion

Last night was a roller coaster of emotions for Toronto Maple Leafs fans. They started off by conceding five consecutive goals against the Blue Jackets.
This resulted in the fans booing the Leafs off the ice after the second period.
However, the Leafs showed that they would not quit and they scored five goals in the third period to even it up at 5 a piece.
Unfortunately, the Leafs were unable to finish it off in overtime as Columbus forward Kent Johnson netted the game-winner.
While this was a loss for the Leafs, getting the loser point and bringing the game to OT made it feel like a win, especially entering the third down 5-0.

Tavares Shows His Frustration

While the Leafs were getting scored on, captain John Tavares got caught shaking his head showing his displeasure in his teammates.
Fans have been quick to point out how this behavior is unacceptable from Tavares, even though goaltender Ilya Samsonov let in a soft goal.
Hopefully, Tavares is able to turn his act around and step up as the Leafs leader as what he is currently doing is not cutting it. Coach Sheldon Keefe benched Tavares for overtime hopefully getting his message across to the Captain.
