Wishing the for him and hope for a speady recovery ❤️

While Pneumonia can be a very serious illness, it is less likely to be severe in Michkov's case due to his age. It likely will not hurt that he is a professional athlete in peak physical condition either.

I'll speak for all Flyers fans, they hope you get better Matvei

Many scouts in the public community has Michkov ranked as high as 2nd overall. It was not that surprising to see him fall as far as 7th though given the geopolitics involved with Russian prospects right now. Many actually believed that he would fall to the Capitals at 8th overall so he could play with Alex Ovechkin.

This season he still looks like the same player scouts had ranked to highly, except now he's even better. In 29 KHL games this year Michkov has 11 goals and 26 points.

He is second on his team is scoring and first in points-per-game. He is going to be an absolute star when he comes to North America.
