The San Jose Sharks have been open to business for trading this season and tonight they just made their biggest move of the season.

Lighting Acquire Goal-Scoring Winger In Trade With Sharks

The team has sent winger Anthony Duclair to the Tampa Bay Lighting in exchange for a 3rd round pick in the 2024 NHL draft as well as defense prospect Jack Thompson.

We have acquired forward Anthony Duclair and a seventh-round pick in the 2025 NHL Draft from the San Jose Sharks in exchange for defenseman Jack Thompson and Tampa Bay's third-round selection in the 2024 NHL Draft.

Duclair Pulls Out Best Game Of Season Ahead Of Trade Deadline

This comes just days after the former Shark put up one of the best games of his career, scoring four points including two goals against the Dallas stars.

It is unclear what impact this performance may have had on his trade value, but there was reportedly not much interest in the winger prior to the game. Needless to say, he certainly grabbed some people's attention with the four-point night.
