The Toronto Maple Leafs disappointed many fans since the season started.
Not only the overall performance angries the fanbase; the injuries too.
With the Leafs' already poor depth at the blue line, the injuries of Timothy Liljegren and Jake McCabe aren't helping at all.
While it was already in the plan to add defensive talent before the trade deadline, with the way things are currently going, we could see a move happening sooner than later.
And there's a real possibility that Brad Treliving gets two defensemen at the same time, from the same team.

If things don't get better in Calgary soon enough, they could decide to be sellers this season and trade their veterans for picks or prospects.
Treliving's past ties with the Flames are obvious, being their former GM.
According to Elliotte Friedman, if he could bring Zadorov and Tanev, he'd do it.

Both players would fit well with what Treliving is looking to add to his defensive unit.
Honestly, we'd love to see a trade like this one happen. It would considerably boost the team's chances of making a big impact in the playoffs.
