Maple Leafs Reveal Plan to Win Against the Lightning After Four Straight Losses
Maple Leafs and Lightning: A Building Rivalry
The Toronto Maple Leafs and the Tampa Bay Lightning are set to play tonight in what promises to be a great game.
The division rivals have played many times against each other in recent playoffs, and it resonates when they meet in the regular season.
Max Domi, who will be at the center of the third line, talked about the challenge ahead:
"It's a good group, a good test, and I'm looking forward to matching their work ethic and competing every single shift. We're going to need everyone to get this ship going in the right direction and I'm looking forward to the challenge."
Leafs' Plan to Beat the Lightning
After quite a bad performance in the last game against the Buffalo Sabres, Sheldon Keefe decided to shake things up.
"Robertson: "I would say I'm really confident now. I got my reps with the Marlies. Last year, I played a couple of games and played up here and was trying to find my confidence that way. I'm going in here with a lot of confidence, a lot more touches than last year."
Also, the Leafs' number one goalie,
Ilya Samsonov, will start between the pipes:
"Ilya Samsonov is the first goalie off the ice and the projected starter against the Lightning."
"Sheldon Keefe confirms that
Jake McCabe is out tonight and Simon Benoit will debut.
Nick Robertson will slot in on the third line with Max Domi."
With all these changes, the Maple Leafs hope to avoid losing their fifth straight game.
