Montreal Canadiens general manager Kent Hughes was very generous with first overall pick Juraj Slafkovsky.

With the signing of his contract, Slafkovsky will receive an annual bonus of $95,000 and a base salary of $855,000 (and $82,500 if he plays in the AHL). In addition, he will be eligible for $3.5 million in performance bonuses each season. Wow!

In total, per year, the Slovak could earn $4.45M annually.

Historically, Owen Power had between $25,000 and $1.85M in potential bonuses, while Alexis Lafreniere, Hughes and Connor McDavid could receive up to $2.85M.
