Jonathan Huberdeau addressed his agent's recent tweet criticizing the Calgary Flames and their head coach, Darryl Sutter.
While he clarified that he and Sutter have a great relationship, Huberdeau indicated that he wasn't pleased with his agent's actions.
«I woke up this morning and saw that tweet. It doesn't come from me. It's my agent, but it's from him. It doesn't reflect on me or the guys. We all love each other. We are having fun," he said.
"Darryl is Darryl. Sometimes you like what the coach does. Some nights you don't like it," Huberdeau explained. "You're never 100 percent happy with the coach's decision, but me and Darryl have a great connection, great friendship."
Huberdeau went on to suggest that he would have preferred if his agent had not issued any statement at all.
"Yeah...I wouldn't be here right now talking to you guys," he replied.
Despite this recent controversy, Huberdeau remains a valuable member of the Flames, having signed the largest contract in franchise history this past August.
