Patrick Kane and Jonathan Toews have been the face of the Chicago Blackhawks franchise for well over a decade. Toews, a three-time cup-winning captain is one of the most respected players in the sports. Kane's intoxicating personality and unrivalled skill earned him the nickname showtime. That's pretty indicative of his game.

They may not be Blackhawks for much longer however, as both of their eight-year, $84-million deals are set to expire. They both hold full no-move clauses, which gives them full control over their next steps.

Both of them still haven't told Blackhawks management if they're willing to be traded, which has stalled the processes. We hadn't yet been given a timeline, but it has now been revealed.

RE: Kane and Toews

It's my understanding that there is still no decision from either player at this time on their futures with the club, but those decisions should be coming within the next few days.

So, within the next few days, we'll know the futures of the core of fifteen years of the Chicago Blackhawks. Will they retire in red, or will they move on to greener pastures?

We'll just have to wait and see.
