According to junior hockey expert for The Athletic, Scott Wheeler, four Montreal Canadiens prospects would be in the running to receive the Calder Trophy, awarded to the top rookie, next season.
At No. 12 is the first overall pick in the last draft, Juraj Slafkovsky.
Justin Barron, Kaiden Guhle and Jordan Harris are among the honorable mentions.
Not surprisingly, the one most likely to win this award is Buffalo Sabres defenseman Owen Power, who is clearly in a different league in terms of maturity.
Matthew Beniers of the Seattle Kraken and Mason McTavish of the Anaheim Ducks close the gap.
Note that Shane Wright, the fourth pick in the last draft, is ahead of Slafkovsky at number ten.
