Sheldon Keefe Provides Injury Update On John Klingberg
John Klingberg has been sidelined for the past week, after sustaining an injury during his first outing as a Maple Leaf.
"John Klingberg not practicing with Maple Leafs today. It's been a week."
He signed a one-year deal this summer valued at $4,150,000 and the fans can't wait to see him on the ice again.
Head coach Sheldon Keefe provided a new update on the defenseman.
Keefe Gives Update on Klingberg
The coach announced that Klingberg will be on the ice tomorrow.
He also revealed that the new Maple Leaf took part in the team's bonding retreat in Gravenhurst.
"Sheldon Keefe says he thinks John Klingberg will be back on the ice tomorrow. Klingberg was up in Gravenhurst with the guys bonding. "
Last season, Klingberg scored 37 points in 67 games with the Ducks and the Wild, and added four points in four playoff games.
He has the potential to surpass that mark this season and if he plays well, will be a huge part of the Leafs' offensive success.
