Staal Takes Feherevary's Skate To The Face
This evening a scary scene went down in PNC Arena as Carolina Hurricanes captain Jordan Staal took a skate to the face.
Capitals defenseman Martin Feherevary was falling down and it clipped Staal's face. Luckily, it was not his neck or eye that was caught.
The broadcast showed Jordan Staal take a skate up high during the second period. Looked to catch him perhaps around the forehead area. He has yet to return and we will keep an eye on that.
The game is currently in the second intermission but Staal has not played since about halfway through the period.
UPDATE: Staal returned for the third period.
