The Winnipeg Jets have announced that head coach Rick Bowness will be taking a leave of absence following his wife being rushed to the hospital.

The Jets will be without Rick Bowness for some time and while he is away, assistant coach Scott Arniel will step in as the head coach.
Our thoughts are with the Bownesses at this time and we wish Judy Bowness a speedy and full recovery.
