BREAKING: Dubois Trade Timeline Revealed
Pierre-Luc Dubois is forcing his way out of Winnipeg and we now have a day we can expect him to be traded by.
We Know When Dubois Will Be Traded
It is no secret that Pierre-Luc Dubois wants out of Winnipeg. After forcing a trade out of Columbus, the Jets and Jackets swung a deal that swapped the 2nd and 3rd overall picks from the 2016 NHL Draft, Patrik Laine and Pierre-Luc Dubois.
Now, Dubois wants out of Winnipeg and has said he is not interested in any form of extension with the Jets.
It is heavily rumored that his preferred destination is Montreal being a native of Quebec himself.
Reporter Raphael Doucet has spoken to sources close to the situation and revealed the timeline for a Dubois departure.
Raphaël Doucet spoke to a well-informed source regarding the Dubois situation, and according to them, he should be traded soon, at the latest by the draft.
"Dubois is starting to think long-term, about where he wants to raise his children, about what kind of city he wants to live in. And it's not Winnipeg." - Doucet
Dubois will likely be traded from Winnipeg to Montreal in the coming weeks and as a result, Winnipeg will get very little return for Dubois
