William Nylander has left the Leafs after a collision, and had not returned to the ice.

UPDATED 10:10 PM : Craig Berube told reporters that there is no update on the status of William Nylander, and that his availability for Saturday's game is uncertain at this time.
Toronto Maple Leafs forward William Nylander left during the third period of tonight's game against the Buffalo Sabres, appearing to have collided with a Sabres player in the knee area.
Nylander did not returned to the game, and was not on the ice for the Leafs power play.
This was the first game for Nylander as part of the Leafs top-line next to Auston Matthews, having been on the second line to start the season.
Nylander leads the Leafs with 11 assists and 13 points, with two goals on the season.

What We Know So Far About Nylander's Early Exit

William Nylander did not return to the game for the Toronto Maple Leafs, with Craig Berube likely to address the media post-game on his status.
Toronto is already without defensemen Chris Tanev and Morgan Rielly tonight, both injured prior to tonight's game.
In a 5-3 loss to the Sabres, Nylander had a goal on a breakaway, with the Leafs headed back to Toronto for a second consecutive game against Buffalo.
Unclear the specifics of his injury, Nylander appeared to be knocked into from behind on the play by Jason Zucker with Zucker's stick, but also appeared while falling to have caught the knee of Sabres defenseman Rasmus Dahlin.
Nylander's loss would be a major loss for the Leafs absence, and a blow to the Leafs who were hoping that Nylander's playmaking would be able to work to help Auston Matthews find his goalscoring touch back at full health.
