Stats indicate that Jack Roslovic may not be the right fit for the Toronto Maple Leafs, and they may want to avoid him entirely.

The Toronto Maple Leafs have been linked to Forward Jack Roslovic, the top remaining free agent left on the market available to be signed.
The Leafs have struggled to find a surefire top-six forward to replace Mitch Marner and Roslovic has been put forward as one name that could be one of interest to Toronto.
Roslovic has experience with Auston Matthews, with the two of them having been members at the U.S. National Team Development Program (NTDP), giving the two potential chemistry on the Leafs top line.
Despite the history between the two, the Toronto Maple Leafs may be better off stepping away from Jack Roslovic, and may not have him the best option for their top-six.

Playoff Numbers Paint a Concerning Picture for Jack Roslovic's Consistency

One major concern for Jack Roslovic is an issue that the Toronto Maple Leafs are in a serious need to improve on, and that's their ability to dominate in the playoffs. Roslovic has not shown he's that guy.
Roslovic has played in just 45 playoff games in his career, with just three goals and 17 points. 12 of those points have come in his last 25 points, but it's hardly an impressive total for a top forward.
Overall, Roslovic is an inconsistent playoff performer who can go quiet in games. Away from the puck, Roslovic is at times a non-factor and doesn't play hard enough to compete in the defensive end.
The Leafs more than anything need consistency, and intensity in the playoffs, and that's something they really can't budge on, and Roslovic is just not worth giving him the benefit of the doubt for.

Frequent Healthy Scratches Raise Questions About Roslovic's Fit in Toronto

One other area of concern is the fact that Roslovic at times last season had been a healthy scratch.
Roslovic has been sent to the bench a few times in his career. If he goes to Toronto and is expected to be an important piece to the roster, the Leafs can't afford to commit to someone who isn't able to produce in a full 82 game schedule.
In the past few years, Roslovic has still been a player who faces difficulty being consistent, and that sort of coaching headache would be better left off avoided than risking potentially it going well, because it hasn't in Roslovic's career.
Roslovic is linked to a potential deal in Russia, and although there's reportedly multiple teams interested in Roslovic, he may already be on his way out. How would Roslovic be a top-six forward if he's not even guaranteed to be in the NHL?
The Toronto Maple Leafs do need a top-six forward, but they also need a winner and a competitor, and there's a real concern that's not Jack Roslovic, and if that fear is what the Leafs feel, they're best not committing to a clear question mark.
