Maple Leafs Officially Announce Jersey Numbers for Roy, Pezzetta, Maccelli

The Toronto Maple Leafs have officially issued jersey numbers to their three new offseason acquisitions.
Toronto officially announces their jersey numbers to the newly acquired Leafs, revealing what will be their numbers for this season.
Official New Jersey Numbers For New Maple Leafs Additions
Roy last wore #55 back in Juniors with the QMJHL while playing for the Chicoutimi Sagueneens.
In the NHL, Roy wore #10 with Vegas, the number in Toronto retired for former captain and four-time Stanley Cup winner George Armstrong. Roy wore #58 with the Carolina Hurricanes.
The #55 was previously worn by
Matt Benning. Prior, the jersey was worn by Mark Giordano, currently working with the Leafs at their development camp.
Matias Maccelli has been issued the #63 jersey for Toronto.
Braeden Kressler wore that number last season for the Leafs although he didn't suit up for the team in the NHL.
The #63 was worn by Maccelli for both the Arizona Coyotes and the Utah Hockey Club.
Michael Pezzetta will wear the #65 jersey for the Toronto Maple Leafs. He is the second player to wear the number since
Ilya Mikheyev who last wore it in 2022.
Mathieu Gosselin, who did not play for the Leafs, was issued the #65 last season
which now transfers to Pezzetta. For the Montreal Canadiens, Pezzetta wore #55, a number taken by Nicolas Roy ahead of him.
New numbers have not been issued for the Leafs other signings, including forwards
Travis Boyd and Vinni Letteri who were signed by the Leafs in free agency.
