The Toronto Maple Leafs have made an emergency move with uncertainty over the status of starting netminder Anthony Stolarz.

Toronto is making a goaltending decision with it unknown when or if Stolarz will be back in the Leafs series in the Florida Panthers after leaving Toronto's Game 1 win due to an injury.
Stolarz left in the second period after colliding with Florida star forward Sam Bennett, with Bennett catching his former Panthers teammate Stolarz in the head with his elbow.
Toronto won the game 5-4 to go up on the series against Florida 1-0, but now the Leafs have uncertainty when they may get Stolarz back.
In the interim however, the Maple Leafs decided that veteran Matt Murray, who was called up in the huge wave of Marlies players being brought in for insurance will be the third option if Stolarz doesn't dress.
Concussion expert Dr. Chris Nowinski indicated that Stolarz appeared to showcase symptoms of a concussion, although the specifics of what caused Stolarz to exit the game isn't known.
Nowinski runs the Concussion Legacy Foundation, an organization that analysis athletes who have health issues related to concussions and CTE.

Update On The Status Of Anthony Stolarz

According to new information, Anthony Stolarz is doing well after leaving Game 1, with some positivity from last night.
Stolarz is now out of the hospital, and joined the Leafs at the team breakfast according to his teammates, a positive as Stolarz was physically vomiting on the bench.
It is also reported that Bennett spoke to Stolarz to apologize, explaining that the incident was completely incidental and not with intent to cause injury.
Craig Berube says an update will come "soon" over the status of Stolarz for the Leafs second game, but that there is trust on Joseph Woll, who came in relief, to play if needed.
If Stolarz doesn't end up dressing on Wednesday night, then looking to Murray for assistance wouldn't be the worst thing in the world.
The former Stanley Cup winner has a career 29-21-0 record with a 2.18 GAA and .921 SV%.
He's known for showing out in the playoffs and helping lock things down, and if Stolarz is going to be out, then they need a player like Murray to help out.
Stolarz won the Stanley Cup last season with Florida as the backup goaltender to Sergei Bobrovsky.
This postseason, Stolarz started all six games for the Leafs in their first round matchup against the Ottawa Senators, with Joseph Woll coming in relief being the first time he was seen action in the series.
He's posted a 4-2-0 record with a 2.19 GAA and .901 SV% in seven starts (including his brief start in Game 1 vs. the Panthers).
