Maple Leafs Forward Earns Prestigious AHL Award After Dominant Season
One Toronto Maple Leafs forward has been given honors after an impressive season in the American Hockey League.
Steeves, 25, had a team-high 36 goals and 61 points in 58 games for the Marlies this season, with his 36 goals tying Johnny Pohl for the team's all-time record.
In his fourth season with the club, Steeves broke the team's records for all-time goals, passing Ryan Hamilton's record of 94.
Steeves is the all-time leader in Marlies points with 215, and currently ranks fourth in team history with 110 assists, six back of the record held by Mike Zigomanis.
Steeves has played in two all-star games, having been named to the event in 2023-24 and 24-25.

Alex Steeves in just four years has become of the Toronto Marlies most impactful players, and one of the top AHLers in the game.
Since arriving in the league, Steeves is third all time in goals (116), and ninth in points (215).
A three-year star at the University of Notre Dame, Steeves was signed as a college free agent by the Toronto Maple Leafs in 2021.
Steeves has played in 14 career NHL games, with a goal, two points, & three points, producing two points in seven games
this season with the Leafs.
The Toronto Marlies have a 35-23-4-8 record in 70 games played this season.

Ethan Bear (Hershey/WSH) & Trevor Carrick (Charlotte) chosen on defense, with
