Another game, another dirty hit from the Florida Panthers as this time fans want the NHL to take a look at one given to Pontus Holmberg.

It's already been a fiery and testy Game 2 between the Maple Leafs and the Florida Panthers. Brad Marchand has been a nuisance all night, and has already irked nearly half the roster.
One player though who has been frustrating the Panthers all night however is Pontus Holmberg.
The scrappy fourth liner has been hounding the team all night, getting into every scrum, fighting for every puck, and generally annoying the opposition.
It's gotten him into some trouble though, as the Panthers didn't take too kindly to his antics and put in a pretty nasty blindside hit then sent him sprawling to the ice.
While he wasn't hurt on the play, something still should have been done and ironically, Holmberg ended up getting a tripping call on Carter Verhaeghe though Toronto was able to kill it off.

Holmberg Hit Just Part Of Intense And Scrappy Game 2

Wednesday night's affair has been something physical though. Marchnad started the festivities with a leg sweep of Joseph Woll, followed by a snow shower. Then Scott Laughton got in on the action with a huge hit on Evan Rodrigues.
Laughton ended up serving a roughing call while Rodrigues went to the locker room and was given an embellishment call.
While Holmberg has been a general nuisance for the Panthers all night, there is no reason to blindside a player, especially with how prevalent headshots have been recently.
But don't expect much punishment, though it's entirely possible. If the NHL isn't going to punish Sam Bennett for hospitalizing Anthony Stolarz, there's a slim chance they'll help out Holmberg.
Then we've had a few scrums here and there, and the teams scored only 17 seconds apart; Florida tying the game at 3 before Mitch Marner gave the Leafs the lead once again off the next face-off.
Toronto for the most part has done well to keep their tempers and retaliatory measures in check, with only three penalties and being able to kill off two; and they also got a power play marker as well.
The game ended in its usual scrappy and feisty way, as the teams fought to the very end with the Maple Leafs able to pull out the 4-3 victory.
All that's left is the hope that the NHL takes Holmberg's hit into consideration, and perhaps aren't as lenient with Florida going forward.
