Tensions Erupt as Maple Leafs Target Marchand Over Two Controversial Plays on Joseph Woll

Tensions started to boil over early with the Maple Leafs and Panthers in Game 2 in Toronto.
As Game 2 kicked off, there was an air of tension that felt like the fireworks could come at any point, especially after Game 1's events.
Well it happened already, and with the usual culprits at play. Firstly,
Brad Marchand took out
Joseph Woll behind the net, then gave him a snow shower, and decided to have a 'friendly' chat with
Scott Laughton.
Leave it to the ever-annoying Marchand to start things against the Maple Leafs, and the team has done a good job at curbing his attempts to frustrate them.
It's not
Sam Bennett levels of dastardly behavior, but it comes pretty close. Marchand could have easily taken out a hamstring or ACL/MCL on Woll and knock out yet another one of the Maple Leafs goaltenders; but for way, way longer.
Several calls have gone ignored so far this game, as scrums are aplenty, the hits are heavy, and no one is showing any mercy but I doubt they would even if they wanted to.
It's been a bit shaky thus far for Joseph Woll, but his opposition isn't doing much better as both goaltenders look to fight through the tension and put up a strong performance.
So far it's been a wild back and forth affair, and the intensity is sure to pick up as the game progresses. Let's just hope that Toronto doesn't get Marchand too riled up, or it may lead to some more nastiness.
Hopefully this time around the officiating is a bit more partial to Florida's antics.
