The Toronto Marlies were dealt an unfortunate blow as a key prospect left due to injury.

Forward Landon Sim left the Toronto Marlies game on Saturday, injured during a game against the Belleville Senators.
Sim was injured late after a concerning collision, with his health status an unknown as of now.

In the third period, Sim was knocked into by Senators forward Garrett Pilon, with Sim knocking to the ground first, and then having Pilon's body fall onto him.
Struggling to give up, Sim crawled from the ice onto the bench in visible pain, with Marlies coach John Gruden having been visibly angered by the lack of a call.
Sim exited Toronto's game against Belleville, and did not return to the game, the Marlies ultimately being defeated 4-2.
Marlies head coach John Gruden did not have an update on Sim's status following the loss, but said he was optimistic for "good news", although there's no knowledge of the severity of his injury at this time.
Sim was an undrafted player of the Toronto Maple Leafs, and was a standout of the team's prospect game for his tenacity and hard work.
A member of the London Knights alongside Easton Cowan, Sim won two OHL Championship and a Memorial Cup.
The Marlies are already facing early losses at forward, with injuries to David Kampf (lower-body), Matthew Barbolini (upper body), Marc Johnstone (upper body), & Sam Stevens (upper body). The first three being day-to-day, Stevens out week-to-week.
The Marlies are also without starter Dennis Hildeby, who has had a hot start to his season, called up to the Maple Leafs.
With a serious injury concern, the potential loss is a big loss for the Marlies depth and a physical presence in the team's bottom-six, and another important loss to the Marlies forward group.
