Maple Leafs Clarify Dennis Hildeby Recall After Earlier Confusion

The Toronto Maple Leafs have recalled Dennis Hildeby from the Toronto Marlies of the American Hockey League, the Leafs have announced.
Hildeby, 24, has a 2-0-0 record in two games this season so far for the Marlies, with a 0.97GAA and a. 962SV% in that time. Hildeby played in six games last season with the Leafs, netting a 3-3-0 record with a 3.16GAA and a .878SV%.
The move is just one more piece of a confusing puzzle as
Joseph Woll had been placed on
long-term injured reserve, but has now begun returning to the team and skating, adding more uncertainty over the Leafs goaltending situation.
Another Goalie Move Raises Questions in Toronto
After appearing in Toronto's first seven games, Anthony Stolarz finally gets a break, and
Cayden Primeau gets his second start in net for Toronto.
But what will be most notable isn't that Stolarz finally gets a rest after four consecutive games, but that it's another bit of confusion on Toronto's end.
After a lack on an update on Joseph Woll earlier in the week, Woll is
back at practice after being out for personal reasons, but with it still unknown when he may return.
The move may spell the end of Primeau, who was acquired off waivers by Toronto when Woll left the team and with James Reimer released from a PTO.
With Woll in practice and Hildeby in the lineup, the likeliness that the Toronto Maple Leafs are setting up a change to their goaltending structure seems more and more likely, and to the Leafs hope, for the better.
