After practice, Knies met with the media and discussed the play that led to his scary-looking injury. Knies said he got a stick caught in his skates which led his knee to twist awkwardly.

Fell awkwardly back on to my knee and just kinda twisted it wrong. Was in a lot of discomfort and didn't feel right.

Knies continues and says that by the end of the day with treatment he felt fine again. This is good news and means Knies likely won't miss any time at all with the Maple Leafs. His next opportunity to play will come tonight against the New York Islanders.
