Legendary Woman's Hockey Champion Lands GM Job In Toronto

Gina Kingsbury is set to join the list of successful players to join a team in a management role.
Kingsbury's New Role
The 41-year-old Canadian has just been unveiled as the new General Manager of the yet-to-be-named Toronto franchise in the Professional Women's Hockey League (PWHL).
The new PWHL league is set to start their free agency and draft period in the coming days.
The new league is set to provide a strong league for women trying to play professional hockey.
Kingsbury's Credentials
When Kingsbury was a player she won 2 gold medals and 3 more medals in 6 appearances at the IIHF worlds, she is also a top 5 scorer in St. Lawrence University history.
Kingsbury has been with Hockey Canada working in a management role since the 2018-19 season and was just recently promoted to the VP of Hockey operations.
The newest female hockey league is going to be providing names for the teams, schedules and arena details very soon.
