Another Player Leaves the NHL

Year after year, it seems that the NHL is only getting faster and younger. Players are becoming more skilled, making it harder to keep up with the pace.

Every year, some players leave the NHL for other leagues. This is the case for Leafs' prospect Semyon Der-Arguchintsev, who announced that he was joining the KHL.

The Russian forward was drafted in 2018 by the Maple Leafs as the 76th overall pick. He has spent the last four years in the Leafs organization, playing for the Marlies. He also played one NHL game last season.

During an interview, the player revealed why he left the NHL for the KHL.

As you can see, he is hoping to join the NHL in a few years when he will have a chance to make the lineup.

He also talked about feeling that he has outgrown the AHL. Last season, the 22-year-old scored 40 points in 52 games with the Marlies.

According to him, it is a better decision for his career to play in the KHL.

Fortunately, the Maple Leafs have kept his rights, so when he comes back, he will already have a foot in the door.
