The Toronto Maple Leafs parted ways with Kyle Dubas after another unsuccessful playoff run.

Despite making some intriguing moves at the trade deadline, it wasn't enough for the Leafs to secure a win, nor was it sufficient to convince the organization to offer him another contract.

While everyone is eager to hear his side of the story, Dubas has chosen to stay out of the limelight, as he refused to speak with a reporter.

"There will be a time and a place for that." - Dubas

Insider Pierre LeBrun revealed on Twitter that when he reached out to Dubas, he declined to answer his questions.

"Kyle Dubas respectfully declined to comment when I reached out just now. 'There will be a time and a place for that,' he said."

It's entirely understandable for Dubas to need time. After all, he lost his job after going all in. It wouldn't be surprising to see him take a break from the NHL for a few months.

However, he hinted that he would be open to discussing it sometime in the future when the right time comes.

Do you think Dubas will be back in the NHL next season?
