Connor Bedard is the presumptive 1st overall pick for the 2023 NHL Draft, but it will be thankful for him that the game is not played on Roller skates.

Bedard, along with childhood friend and fellow 2023 Draft Eligible Andrew Cristall, suited up for games with a local BC Roller Hockey League.

Despite the talents of a generational prospect, Bedard's team found themselves having gone 0-2 in both games played for his roller club.

Bedard put up a clear strong effort, having had 8 Points in 2 games, including a 4 Goal, 6 Point first game.

Along with Bedard and Cristall, Columbus Blue Jackets Center Kent Johnson is also on the team. Cristall with 5 Points in 2 Games and Johnson with 3 Points in 1 Game, so there isn't a shortage of talent along with Bedard.

All 3 players played for the same club last season together. Bedard has played 18 Games the previous 2 years as well, recording a whopping 60 Goals and 134 Points in 18 Games.

While a fun match in BC means almost nothing to his NHL prospects, Blackhawks fans will hope to face less of a struggle with Bedard on the ice, and hope these 2 games aren't a reflection of next season to come.
