Free Agent Acquisition Will Have Huge Impact In Toronto For Many Years
The Toronto Maple Leafs were one of the more active teams in free agency this season. Adding players such as Max Domi, John Klingberg, and Tyler Bertuzzi. The one addition most fans and media are most excited to see heading into the 2023-24 season is Max Domi.
Continuing A Family Tradition
Max Domi is continuing on the legacy of another former Leaf family member. Max's dad Tie Domi spent over a decade representing the Maple Leafs and now Max is excited to carry on that tradition.
Domi has bounced around the league for the last several years including stops in Chicago, Dallas, Columbus, and Carolina over the last two seasons. Before being thrown into several organizations in the last two seasons Domiwas a key piece in both Arizona and Montreal. His best individual season came in 2018-19 when he put up 72 points in 82 total games. This would also be the last time Domi would play 82 games in a season with one organization.
Domi Wants To Be A Leaf For The Long Term
According to a report by Elliotte Friedman, Max Domi wants to be a Toronto Maple Leaf for life. He is willing to do anything to help the organization he grew up loving win.
It will be interesting to see where Domi will be inserted into the lineup however it's a given that he will be a massive upgrade over Kerfoot.
