Marc Savard Has A Message For Auston Matthews
Former NHL veteran and Stanley Cup Champion Marc Savard recently took to Twitter with a message and a request to Auston Matthews.
Savard Goes Rollerblading
Marc Savard recently shared a video of himself rollerblading with his son on Twitter. In the post, he says that he had just done a 10km skate with his son. He then tagged Auston Matthews and joked about a possible return if Matthews could hook him up with a new pair of skates.
While Savard has not played an NHL game since the 2011 season when he won the Stanley Cup it is good to see him back out skating in some capacity.
Savard Wants Marsblade
In the post, Savard asked Matthews for a pair of Marsblade skates in exchange for a return to hockey in the form of roller hockey. These blades are the rollerblades that Matthews has endorsed in the past.
The Marsblade AM34 Signature Edition wheels are listed on Marsblade's website for $249.
While this is expensive for the everyday roller hockey player I'm sure Matthews could handle the expense to get a shot at playing alongside Savard and to learn from him.
