2016 First Round Pick Shines on PTO with Marlies

25 year old Kieffer Bellows was selected 19th overall in the 2016 NHL Entry Draft to the New York Islanders. After a few seasons with the Islanders and a short stint in Philadelphia with the Flyers, Bellows recently signed a Professional Tryout Offer (PTO) with the Toronto Marlies.

Off to a Hot Start

Through 8 games with the Marlies, Bellows has six goals and six assists with an impressive 21 SOG. Including a beauty goal from Tuesday's game against the Lehigh Valley Phantoms. Bellows has been remarkable over the past few games and looks to stay hot.

What's Next for Bellows?

This hot start begs the question whether Bellows is showing up on the Maple Leafs radar. He has proven he can put the puck in the net with his elite shot, and could be an excellent addition to the Maple Leafs offence down the road. Leafs fans should keep an eye on Bellows as the season progresses, because if he maintains this rapid pace, he could be with the Leafs before we know it.
