Three different Toronto Maple Leafs players have begun wearing neck guards joining the wave of NHLers taking steps at being safer.

Giordano, Bertuzzi, And Benoit All Wear Neck Guards At Leafs Practice

Over the past few weeks, many NHLers have begun wearing neck guards in an effort to avoid another tragedy like Adam Johnson's passing. Stars like Erik Karlsson, Rasmus Dahlin, TJ Oshie, and many others have started wearing neck guards to give themselves an extra level of protection.

Today three different Maple Leafs players, Mark Giordano, Tyler Bertuzzi, and Simon Benoit, were all seen practicing with neck guards.

There are still many other Leafs players who are not wearing neck guards but with the oldest player in the room, Giordano, starting to wear a neck guard many of the younger stars may follow suit.

It is great to see these three taking steps towards being safer as we were recently reminded how dangerous hockey can be.
