TSN insider Darren Dreger has officially confirmed that Patrick Kane has met with the Maple Leafs.
Kane Meets With The Leafs Via Zoom Call
The past few weeks have been chaotic for Patrick Kane with him looking for his newest team. It has been reported that up to eight different teams are having discussions with Kane and it has now been confirmed that the Toronto Maple Leafs have met with the future Hall of Famer.
TSN insider Darren Dreger has reported the following about the Leafs and Kane:
"[Kane] and his agent, Pat Brisson, were part of several face-to-face interviews, including ones with the Toronto Maple Leafs that happened via a Zoom call, so I guess we're dealing a bit there in semantics" - Darren Dreger
Kane is still favored to land with the Sabres, Red Wings, or Panthers but if GM Brad Treliving can sell Kane on signing north of the border, we could see Kane wind up playing alongside fellow American, Auston Matthews.
It is anticipated that Kane will sign within the coming weeks and we will then officially know if he will be a Maple Leaf or not.
