Brad Treliving Takes a shot at William Nylander Over Contract Talks
We're almost in September and William Nylander still hasn't signed a contract extension with the Maple Leafs.
There's still a year left on his contract, but many fans want to see this matter dealt with before it becomes a distraction for the whole team in the training camp.
In a recent interview, Nylander candidly revealed that he wasn't in a rush to get it done.
Now, a few days later, Treliving sent a little jab back to Nylander.
Treliving Takes a Shot at Nylander
When he was discussing the recent deal he made with Auston Matthews, Treliving was asked to talk about how it went down.
He gave a frank answer that indirectly was a jab at Nylander.
"This got done because Auston decided he wanted to get it done." - Treliving
By saying this, Treliving subtly reveals that Nylander could have already signed if he wanted to.
This speaks volume on what Treliving thinks of Nylander's way of negotiating and he doens't seem to like it.
