McDavid Makes Massive Demand to his Teammates
Even if they have two of the best players in the world, the Edmonton Oilers often gave disappointing performances in the last few seasons.
Relying on only two players to win isn't a good strategy. They've upgraded their roster in recent years, but they still come up short in the playoffs.
In order to avoid a similar situation and be sure to have a strong beginning of the season, the Oilers' captain made a special request to his teammates.
McDavid's Request
Every year, the Oilers and McDavid hold "Captain's Skates", a training camp before the official training camp.
McDavid asked something to his teammates ahead of the event.
"A little bit more organized in our Captain's Skates. Just to make sure that it's a productive month and we can hit the ground running."
Captain's Skates
The Oilers will start to train on September 5th, leaving them three weeks before the camp.
By doing so, McDavid hopes that his team is ready to work seriously by training camp.
He asked his teammates to come organized and be productive. This shows how bad he wants to win.
He's a great leader and a true inspiration to follow!
