Many players were placed on waivers earlier today.

As the start of the season draws closer, more NHL teams are sending players to the AHL. Those who signed a one-way contract must clear waivers before joining the team.

The Edmonton Oilers have placed two players up for grabs, and one of them is a former player for the Toronto Maple Leafs!
