The Toronto Maple Leafs have once again provided us with an injury update.

Toronto Maple Leafs Defenseman Suffers Tough Blow After Impressive Camp

Sheldon Keefe announced earlier today that Conor Timmins was injured in yesterday's game against the Canadiens.

"Sheldon Keefe says Conor Timmins suffered a lower body injury late in Friday's game against Montreal.

He'll go for an MRI today to determine the severity.

The Leafs are already dealing with an injury to John Klingberg on the right side."

This comes at the worst possible timing. With Klingberg already sidelined, it's a major blow to the Leafs' defensive core.

Timmins is currently the leader in NHL points, with 6.

We'll know more later today, as Timmins is scheduled for an MRI.

We hope he'll be back at 100% for the start of the season!
