Another former Maple Leaf has left his NHL career to pursue a career overseas.
Kase Leaves For Europe
Former Maple Leafs forward Ondrej Kase has left the NHL to pursue a career in his home nation of Czechia.
-
In 2021-22, Kase played 50 games with the Maple Leafs where he registered 14 goals and 27 points. This translates to a 23-goal and 44-point pace which is fantastic for a bottom-six player.
-
However, last year he only played in one game after signing with the Carolina Hurricanes and spent most of the season on LTIR.
He will look to be closer to home with his new team in Europe and potentially finally get back to full health after struggling with concussions his entire career.
Will Kase ever return to the NHL?
