Penguins Goaltender's Contract Demands Have Been Revealed
With Kyle Dubas at the helm of the organization, the Pittsburgh Penguins will probably make a few changes to upgrade their lineup ahead of next season.
They'll have many big decisions to make, and one of them will be about their goaltender: Tristan Jarry.
Jarry: A Real Number One Goalie?
Tristan Jarry revealed to the media that he was playing through injuries for most of the season, which affected his play.
His numbers, however, are not bad. He has a 24-13-7 record, a 0.909 SV%, and a 2.90 GAA in 47 games this year.
If he comes into next season healthy and can avoid injuries, he could be the number one goalie the Penguins need to reach the playoffs. He also needs to prove that he can take his game to the next level when they do.
Jarry will be an unrestricted free agent this summer, and it's still uncertain whether he'll stay in Pittsburgh.
Jarry's Contract Demands
On the latest episode of the 32 Thoughts podcast, Elliotte Friedman revealed some crucial information about Jarry's demands for his next contract.
Friedman (32TP): "I heard (Tristan) Jarry, when they were talking during the season, wanted some term, like 5-6 years, so I don't know where that's going to go."
Considering Kyle Dubas just came into office, it's hard to tell what will happen with Jarry, but it wouldn't be surprising to see the Pens let him go.
