With the Philadelphia Flyers in a full-scale rebuild, it seems that no trade is off the table for new General Manager Daniel Briere.

Hart Close to Being Traded

After shipping off talented but controversial D-Man Ivan Provorov, it looks like franchise goalie Carter Hart may be packing his bags as well.

Maple Leafs Have Emerged As Potential Suitor

The Toronto Maple Leafs have emerged as a potential suitor for Hart's services, as they are in need of a goaltender for next season as they only have inconsistent Matt Murray under contract for next year.

The Leafs ran with young Ilya Samsonov in net last year, and he produced stellar results, sporting a .919 Save Percentage and a 2.33 Goals Against Average. Both of those marks were in the top 10 of qualified goalies.

Despite these numbers, the Leafs may want to go in another direction, as Samsonov is in line for a raise this offseason and struggled in the playoffs.

The Leafs may opt for more cost-control in the way of Hart who is under contract for one more season at a 3.979 million average annual value.
