The Penguins could be looking to replace Tristan Jarry as their starting goaltender, as injuries have plagued the 28 year old over the past few years. One elite goaltender's name could be an option to replace Jarry, but it certainly will come with an expensive price tag.
One goaltender who is asking for a trade is Winnipeg Jets goaltender Connor Hellebuyck. The 29 year old was drafted 130th overall by the Jets in the 2012 NHL Draft.
Hellebuyck's performance this season was one of his best, as he posted a .920 save percentage. Hellebuyck has led the Jets to 5 postseasons. The farthest the Jets made it of those was in the 2017-2018 season, where they lost the Conference Finals to the Vegas Golden Knights.
In a postseason interview following a first round exit against the Vegas Golden Knights, Hellebuyck spoke out about potentially leaving Winnipeg, stating :
The Michigan native will be entering the final season of his 6 year, $37M contract with Winnipeg.
