Matthew Tkachuk Reveals Why The Panthers Have Success Against The Leafs
Surprisingly, the Panthers are in a great position in their series against Toronto.
Who would have thought that after almost twenty years of losing in the first round, the Leafs would be this bad in the second round?
Matthew Tkachuk gave a simple explanation as to why the Panthers have success against the Leafs.
Tkachuk Reveals Why The Panthers Have Success Against The Leafs
Here's what he said:
"There's no pressure on us. Why play if you can't enjoy it?"
The Panthers have almost no pressure. After qualifying in extremis for the playoffs and beating the mighty Bruins, they have already surpassed the expectations.
The Leafs, however, have a ton of pressure from fans and management. The Panthers know it and use it to their advantage.
Tkachuk continued:
"We have a very serious team where guys want to do well, but in a tie game late in the third, we're enjoying it on the bench laughing, smiling, just looking around at the moment that we're in. We're really, really enjoying it and having so much fun."
The Panthers could eliminate the Leafs tonight in Florida. Maybe the lack of pressure will help them achieve that.
