The Nashville Predators have made a big splash today, as they've made their decision on who will be their next head coach. This news comes at what feels like the peak of coaching rumors throughout the league, so clearly, Nashville is trying to jump the gun and get their guy locked up.

Predators Hire Brunette as Head Coach

Andrew Brunette will be the next head coach of the Nashville Predators according to trusted insider Kevin Weekes. Brunette spent the past season in New Jersey as an assistant to Lindy Ruff and was a Jack Adams finalist in Florida the season before as their interim head coach.

Brunette led Florida to a Presidents Trophy-winning campaign in the 2021-22 season but was let go by Florida in favor of a more experienced Paul Maurice. While he remained a backup this season, instead in New Jersey, it's clear his intention was to become a head coach once again.

This head coaching change comes after Nashville made a massive change in the general manager position, as David Poille stepped down to let Barry Trotz take over the reins as GM. Big things are on the horizon for Nashville, so get excited!
